Thank you for reading today. Our greatest desire is that you would be encouraged in the Lord today! In my daily time with God today, the Holy Spirit spoke to me about learning how to deal with different seasons of life. As most of you know as of March 1, 2020, I am retiring from pastoral ministry and going into an exciting new life working with and giving people hope in their lives. We will be holding meetings for Hope Biblical Counseling Center Ministries. Kim and I are looking forward to this season of our lives. If you are interested in us coming to your church please contact us at 501-596-2870 or

1 Thessalonians 4:13, But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.Everybody needs hope!

Change Is Not Always a Bad Thing

Most of us have to admit we do not like change.  However, many times change is a good thing. When Kim and I came to Little Rock, God told us from the beginning we had a time limit. I am thankful for the last 10 years and all the things I have learned and the great things God has done! Leaving here certainly has some emotions to it, but quite frankly not near as hard as coming here was. We were a close family for many years.  After we came here our children ended up moving to opposite coasts!  Now we were even further away! Quite frankly it has been a deep hole in our heart for the last 10 years.  Now we will have the time to spend as long as we want with our children and grandchildren who are 7, 6, and 5.  Not a bad thing!  See some change is very good!

We are very excited about the next level as well with our ministry. For the past several years we have seen God do phenomenal things in the lives of people in these meetings. It has been a great revival of learning for many people. Many have learned how to have a real, intimate, personal, and passionate relationship with God. Several have learned how to make Biblical long term change in their lives. It thrills our heart to help people this way!   We give Him the honor and glory for that He has done!  Not a bad thing! See some change is very good!
Don’t Be Afraid of Change

2 Timothy 1:7, For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.People are very afraid to get out of their comfort zone and try something new. I can pray, and ask God questions.  If I am in fellowship with God He will answer.  He loves me and wants His best for me.  You know 41 years is a long time to do something.  Even at my age it is exciting to move forward for God! There is never a reason to be afraid of what God leads in. You can move forward in perfect peace.

John 14:27, Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

Learn to Trust God With Your Life

When my mother was desperately ill and in a coma from several months, as an only child, I had to make many decisions for her.  She suffered immensely. Quite frankly, great fear was in my heart.  What if I make the wrong decision? God helped me with my fear and taught me to trust Him daily.  However, in answer to prayer she woke up.  We had a wonderful conversation.  I had the opportunity to lead my mother to the Lord not long after I was saved.  That day of the conversation as she had come out of a coma was because I asked God if it was okay to pray she would wake up and He said yes!  We serve a loving God! I held her hand and told her not to be afraid, God has a wonderful place for you!  She said she loved me and was so glad we had this time together. A few days later after all that time she went to be with the Lord.

I quoted to her that day.

John 14:1-6, Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.  (2)  In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.  (3)  And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.  (4)  And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know.  (5)  Thomas saith unto him, Lord, we know not whither thou goest; and how can we know the way?  (6)  Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

My life verse is Proverbs 3:5-6. These verses have helped me to learn not to be afraid. Sometimes things in life can be hard and make us afraid.  Satan is the author of your fear.  Make sure you are seeking to be a learner with your life! Ask God to teach you every day!  Make sure you are trusting God with your life!

Proverbs 3:5-6, Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.  (6)  In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

Remember, be the vessel God can use today by asking the Holy Spirit to show you if you are living your life in fear? Are you living in the sin of allowing selfish and carnal thinking to rule your life and making you afraid? Be all you can be for Him today and have a powerful testimony of living a Spirit controlled yielded godly life that is serving and living with joy not fear! We encourage you today to make Jesus Christ real in your life by humbly yielding to Him and living for Him, not the life of selfish carnal thinking. It is an important choice! Tell God you want to yield yourself to Him today and be a trusting, useful, and rewarded servant!

With a heart to glorify God and serving the God of answers,
