Thank you for reading today. Our greatest desire is that you would be encouraged in the Lord today! In my daily time with God today, the Holy Spirit spoke to me about humility in our lives.

Our Lord set the example in our lives about humility.  In a great passage of Scripture, Philippians 2:5-11, it is explained fully and the results of what can happen if we are humble Spirit controlled people!

God Wants Us to Learn Humility

This week I have been meditating on these wonderful verses. It can give us great comfort, encouragement and direction.

Philippians 2:5-11, Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:  (6)  Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:  (7)  But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:  (8) And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. (9)  Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:  (10) That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; (11) And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Submission is the Key to Humility

Dear friends if we submit ourselves to the Holy Spirit daily by confessing our sins and telling Holy Spirit, “I want to submit to you today, lead me, guide, me, fill me and encourage me today,” great and wonderful things can happen in your life! I have noticed that when people are not living a humble life they always struggle with peace, frustration, fear, anxiety and they struggle with even daily details of life in walking with God and others.

Did you notice in the verses what is happening here?

1. Let this mind be in you (humility).
2. Focus on being a humble servant.
3. Humility leads to obedience
4. God will exalt you, you do not have to do that yourself!

Be all you can be for our Lord today by learning and using the big key HUMILITY!

Remember, be the vessel God can use today by asking the Holy Spirit to show you if you are living your life without humility? Are you living in the sin of allowing selfish and carnal thinking or listening to rule your life and making you not focus on humility? Be all you can be for Him today and have a powerful testimony of living a Spirit controlled yielded godly life that is serving and living with humility, joy and peace! We encourage you today to make Jesus Christ real in your life by humbly yielding to Him and living for Him, not the life of selfish carnal thinking and speaking. It is an important choice! Tell God you want to yield yourself to Him today and be a trusting, useful, and rewarded servant! Rejoice in Him today!
