Thank you for reading today. Our greatest desire is that you would be encouraged in the Lord! In my daily time with God in His Word today, the Holy Spirit spoke to me about being encouraged. I believe in this Covid-19 Pandemic this is an important subject to deal with. This has been a subject in our Biblical Counseling program that we find neglected in the folks that come for Biblical Counseling. They are not encouraged in the Lord therefore they do not encourage anyone else.

In our Biblical Counseling I find that in marriages that are falling apart, the partners do not think about encouraging each other.  They think about themselves and how defeated and unhappy they are.

What is the First Principle of Encouragement?

1 Corinthians 13:4, Charity (love) suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,

Maybe you are discouraged today? Or you are scared because of COVID-19 and what it will mean?  Maybe you think you are all alone in this marriage?

Let’s take the first step to moving forward. I encourage our counselees to ask God a question when they are in the state of emotional “I just don’t care anymore.”

Here is a great tool.  Ask God this question.  Who do you want me to encourage today?  When God shows you let that person know God wanted you to encourage them today.

The first principle of encouragement is kindness.  Ask God how you could be kind to your spouse today? Or your child, mother, father, neighbor or friend?

When You Ask God The Question What Happens?

You are now not thinking about you, but someone else! Remember, in a difficult time learn the first principle of encouragement-be kind!  Focus on it! Pray about it! Meditate on it! Make it real in your life! Instead of expecting people to be kind to you and then getting angry when you do not get want you want, be the spiritual emotionally mature person God wants you to be.  Ask God who you can be kind to today?  Then ask how you can be kind?
In marriage ask God each day, “How can I be kind to my spouse today?”  It will change your marriage and your life!  Have a great day in the Lord and be encouraged in Him by being kind!

Ephesians 4:32, And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.

Remember, be the vessel God can use today by asking the Holy Spirit to show you if you are living your life not dealing with your sin (lusts)?  Are you living in the sin of allowing selfish carnal thinking or listening to rule your life and making you react or rationalize your sin?

Be all you can be for Him today and have a powerful testimony of living a Spirit controlled yielded godly life that is serving and living with humility, joy and peace! We encourage you today to make Jesus Christ real in your life by humbly yielding to Him at the point of impact and living for Him, not the life of selfish carnal thinking and speaking. It is an important choice! Tell God you want to yield yourself to Him today and be a trusting, useful, and rewarded servant! Be the person who can help, not the person who always needs help! Rejoice in Him today!

We pray for many of you daily!  May we all humble ourselves before God and focus on having compassion on others!

With a heart to glorify God and serving the God of answers,
